HDPE stands for high-density polyethylene. Since HDPE film is less susceptible to stretching, bags made of it are well-suited for carrying heavy objects. This material does have a few negatives, though, such as rustling and creasing.
HDPE film is used:
- As a wrapping for dry industrial and granular goods
- As a wrapping for non-oxidizing foodstuffs
- Instead of grease-resistant paper
- To produce packaging
- In construction, agriculture, and other spheres as a blanketing layer
- For paper and cardboard lamination.
